The BugScents bedbug lure, developed by experts at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, is an aggregation-pheromone-based lure that can be applied via the AF crawling insect monitor or SenSci Volcano. The bedbug aggregation pheromone attracts nymphs, females and males irrespective of whether they have fed or not. The lures are long-lasting and remain active for approximately 12 weeks. The shelf life is expected to exceed 18 months. This new lure is the product of over 12 years’ research by world-leading experts in medical entomology and chemical ecology. Led by Professors Mary Cameron and James Logan. Monitoring for bedbug activity is an essential part of an integrated pest management plan.
